Description
Elongated oval face with narrow slit eyes, a straight triangular nose, and shaped lips. The eyelids and lower lip carry green highlights over a red ground. A stylized long-beaked bird rises along the central crest above the forehead. The bird and face are carved from a single piece of wood. Surface shows layered pigment with age-softened edges and handling gloss. This is an Indonesian traditional carving, suitable for collectors of regional craft and for strong interior display.
Condition
Honest age wear with scattered abrasions to pigment, small nicks at edges, and stable surface patina. Minor losses at high points consistent with handling. Structurally sound. Review photos for close-ups.
Display and Care
Hang on a secure wall hook or bracket that supports crown and chin. Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity. Dust with a soft dry brush only. Do not apply oils or cleaners.
